The Royal Scholars Academy is pleased to help secure a wonderful future for studious, hard-working children across the globe. Why do our students do so well?
The Royal Scholars Academy’s lead administrator has an masters degree from the California State University and over 20 years of experience in education, both in educational technology and as an instructor — ranging throughout all grades, from elementary through the collegiate level, and on to the professorial level, teaching educators about effective educational technology use and development. That experience, along with over a decade of research, have culminated in this: The Royal Scholars Academy.
Most leading educators agree that there are few universally-accepted findings concerning what yields success in elementary and high school studies. Yet researchers do have a few key predictors of educational success, with the most important predictor being parental involvement. By allowing parents and children to engage in the educational process, Royal Scholars Academy supports their academic success.
Further, Royal Scholars Academy is also competitive in the two other key predictors of academic success: class size, and student-teacher ratios.
To encourage student responsibility and engagement in their learning, RSA has combined resources with Show and Know to offer convenient featured content from the world’s leading educational providers, free of charge to all.
Further, we encourage our students to post their own learning projects here, recognizing that one of the best ways to reinforce learning is in sharing that knowledge with others.
The Royal Scholars Academy represents an innovative approach to education. By offering the students an online portfolio at Show and Know, they can become true scholars — whose individual and team-based learning projects now become more than a quickly-forgotten assignment.
Royal Scholars Academy expands upon this opportunity to show the world what they know, invigorating the learning process, and placing responsibility for learning upon the students. Students are encouraged to develop the media, technical, and communication skills which are becoming increasingly important in the expanding Information Age in which we live.
Our teachers pursue a wide range of proven approaches for their specific students, from do-it-yourself, Montessori-style approaches, to curriculum solutions based on their local standards and teaching experiences. Thus, many of our teachers already have access to a wide variety of curricular resources. RSA does not burden them with the costs of purchasing curricula year-after-year. By unbundling the costs of curricula from administration, we can offer a very affordable educational option.
If a student’s educational needs extend beyond what the teacher currently has, we also offer recommendations of specific educational materials which they can purchase as needed. In addition, we link to recognized standardized testing resources, and teachers may pass on their students scores if they wish to have these scores recroded in their permanent transcripts.
In turn, RSA provides academic record-keeping, access to legal transcripts, official diplomas upon graduation of each school level, as well as legal status as a private school student.
Available here is a brief guide to the subjects and topics typically studied across the English-speaking world, grouped in general age ranges to accommodate variations in regional standards and order of study.
The Royal Scholar’s Academy staff operates as the principal of the school, while the parents are the teachers. We will be offering you the educational content on “Show and Know” (which we will continue to add to). The content can be used however you, the teacher, sees fit. We encourage students to provide evidence of their studies here at Show and Know. At the end of the school year, in order to receive a diploma, the teacher will need to certify that their student(s) have finished the requirements for that school year.
